Troubleshooting
Orders
I can’t move an order back a stage
Once an order is registered it can’t move back, and its prices are fixed. If it shouldn’t go ahead, cancel it, as long as nothing has been delivered or paid on it.
An order is stuck on In production
It moves to Ready when every work order on it is complete. Open the work orders and mark the finished ones Complete.
I can’t set payment to Received
Partially paid and Received come from the payments recorded on the order. Record the payment, and the status follows.
The total looks wrong
Line totals are before VAT, with any discount taken off. The order total adds VAT. Check quantities, unit prices and discounts on each line.
I can’t create an order for a customer
The customer is probably marked Suspended. Set them back to Active on their page.
I can’t find an order
Clear any filters (Overdue, Due this week, Due this month), then search by customer or order number.
Inventory
An item shows the wrong level
The level follows the count: above the reorder point is in stock, at or below it is low, and zero is out. Check the on-hand count and the reorder point, then use Adjust stock if the shelf and the system disagree.
The count keeps being wrong
Check that deliveries are received against their purchase orders the day they arrive, and that everyone counts in the item’s unit. The stock ledger shows every movement and who made it.
Nobody got a stock alert email
Check the emails are on in Stock › More › Stock settings. They go to Owners, Admins, Managers and Stock controllers, at most every 30 minutes, and only when something new has come up.
My stock take didn’t change some counts
Differences bigger than the limits in Stock settings are held for a manager. They’re under Differences to approve.
Access
Someone can’t see a screen or an order
A missing screen usually means their role doesn’t include it. An Owner or Admin can change it in Settings › Team.
I can see everything but can’t change anything
The module is read-only because the trial has ended or its subscription has lapsed. Subscribe in Settings › Subscriptions and editing comes back straight away.
WhatsApp reminders
A reminder didn’t arrive
Check the number on the item, and the item’s delivery trail: sent, delivered, read or failed, with the reason. Ask the person to check they haven’t blocked the number.
Someone forwarded a reminder and the buttons do nothing
Only the number a reminder was sent to can act on it. The person it was forwarded to should open the item in Fabristack instead.

Frequently asked questions
Before you sign up
When can I start?
Fabristack launches on 20 January 2027. Leave your email on the Get started page and we’ll tell you the day it opens.
What will it cost?
Order Management is R249.99 a month, Inventory Controller is R199.99 and Compliance Tracker is R199.99, with VAT included. All three together are R649.97.
Is there a free trial?
Yes: 30 days with all three modules, from the day you create your account.
Do I have to take all three modules?
No. Each module is priced on its own. Use the ones your business needs.
Is there a contract?
No. Cancel any time. What you’ve paid for stays active until the end of the month.
Will it replace my accounting software?
No. It records payments against each order and what is still owed. Your books stay where they are.
Using Fabristack
What can my team use it on?
Android, Windows and your web browser. On an iPhone or any other device, use the browser.
Can I bring my existing records in?
Inventory items import from Excel or CSV. Orders, customers and certificates are entered directly. Start with what’s open, not your history.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Export orders as CSV, Excel or PDF, and stock as CSV. Your records stay viewable and exportable even if a subscription ends, for 12 months after your company’s last trial or subscription.
Can my customers see where their order is?
Yes. Every order has a tracking link, and you can send the customer a tracking email from the order.
Who sees what?
Everyone has one of ten roles, which decides what they see and can change. See People and access.
WhatsApp reminders
Is it a separate module?
No. Reminders on WhatsApp and email are part of Compliance Tracker, at no extra cost.
Can people opt out?
Yes. Switch reminders off at any time in Settings. Once an item has been overdue for a day, you can also tap Stop reminders on the message.
